To all of us if someone charges us higher we dislike it. If you are a businessman and one of your employee demands for salary increment, you dislike it. But when you sell something and you get higher price or when you are an employee and if your salary is increased, you will be most happy person. We feel that it is most right thing happened to us. At that time we start praising our ability, intelligence and efforts, also luck and god’s grace.  We all want to be rich, but all of us are against the rising prices. My grandfather used to buy some food stuff about 500gms for Rs.1 and now we have to pay minimum of Rs. 50 for that same 500gms food stuff. So it shows that prices are 50 times higher today. આપણને દરેકને કોઈ દુકાનદાર કે વેચનાર તેની વસ્તુનો ભાવ વધારે તો પસંદ નથી આવતું. તમે ધંધાદારી હોય અને તમારે ત્યાં કામ કરનાર વ્યક્તિ પગાર વધારો માગે તો તમને પસંદ નથી આવતું. પણ આપણે પોતે જ કોઈ વસ્તુ વેચતા  હોય કે નોકરી કરતા હોય ત્યારે આપણને વધારે ભાવ મળે, વધારે પગાર મળે તો ખુબ ખુશી થાય છે. આપણી સાથે યોગ્ય થયું તેમ આપણે માનીએ છીએ. ત્યારે ભગવાનની કૃપા, આપણું નસીબ, આપણી મહેનત અને બુદ્ધિ  તેમ  બધાના વખાણ કરવા લાગીએ છીએ. આપણને દરેકને ધનવાન થઈ જવું છે પણ પાછા આપણે દરેક જણ ભાવવધારા સામે વિરોધમા ઊભા થઈ જઈએ છીએ. મારા દાદા તેમના સમયમાં એક રૂપિયામાં 500 ગ્રામ ચવાણું લાવતા. અને આજે તે પચાસ રૂપિયાથી ઓછા ભાવે નથી મળતું, મતલબ કે કિંમતો ૫૦ ગણી વધી ગઈ. એટલે કે ૫૦ ગણો ભાવ વધારો થયો. કોઈએ મને મજાકમાં વાત સમજાવી હતી કે ઉંમર અને મોંઘવારી કોઈ દિવસ ઘટી શકે જ નહીં. અને મને તેમની વાત પૂરેપૂરી સાચી લાગી હતી.  આ મોંઘવારી કેમ વધે છે? કેમ વધતી જ જાય છે?  આપણો માનવ સમાજ એકબીજા ઉપર આધારિત છે અને દરેક વ્યક્તિ અથવા કુટુંબ દીઠ કેટલાક વ્યક્તિ આર્થિક ઉપાર્જન કરે છે. દરેક વ્યક્તિને વધારે જોઈ...

GDP :  જેટલા વધુ રૂપિયાના વ્યવહારો સરકારના ચોપડે નોંધાય તેટલો GDP વધે. સરકાર નવા રસ્તા બનાવે, નવી શાળાઓ ખોલે, નવી હોસ્પિટલ બનાવે, નવા ઉદ્યોગો સ્થપાય, વધુ ઉત્પાદન થઇ માલ બજારમાં ઠલવાય અને તેની મોટા પાયે ખરીદ-વેચાણ થાય. અને આ બધાને લીધે જે રૂપિયાના વ્યવહારો વધે તેથી GDP વધે.  જેને સરકારી ભાષામાં વિકાસ કહેવાય. આપણે બજારમાં હલકી કક્ષાનો માલ મોટા જથ્થામાં ઉતારી દઈએ, લોકો તેની ભરપુર ખરીદી કરે અને તે માલ જલ્દી ખરાબ થઇ જાય અને લોકો ફરી ખરીદી કરે અને આ બધા વ્યવહારો કાયદાકીય રીતે થાય એટલે કે તેની સરકારી નોંધ થાય ત્યારે GDP વધી જાય. ઉદ્યોગોને લીધે પ્રદુષણમાં વધારો થાય અને તેને લીધે લોકો વધુ બીમાર પડે અને જેના લીધે વધુ લોકો ડોકટરને રૂપિયા ચૂકવે. વધુ દવાઓ ખરીદાય. જેથી વધુ દવાઓની કંપનીઓ ચાલે. જેથી GDPવધે. કેન્સરના દર્દીઓ વધે તો સરકાર દરેક શહેરમાં કેન્સરની હોસ્પિટલ ખોલે તો વિકાસ કહેવાય. અને GDP વધે. આર્થિક-સામાજિક મુશ્કેલીઓ વધવાથી લોકોના માનસિક સ્વાસ્થ્યમાં તકલીફો ઉભી થાય અને તેઓ મા...

આપણે કોઈ વસ્તુની સાચી કિંમત નક્કી કરી શકીએ? હું માનું છું કે ક્યારેય નહીં. કઈ કિંમતને સાચી કિંમત કહેવાય? મોટેભાગે ખોટી રીતે નક્કી થયેલી કિંમતો સ્થિર થઈ જાય, તોપણ આપણે તેને સાચી કિંમત માનીએ છીએ. કયો માપદંડ છે જે નક્કી કરશે  કે આજ સાચી કિંમત છે? ખરેખર કોઈ માપદંડ છે જ નહીં. જે છે એ માત્ર મનની ધારણાઓ જ છે. માનો કે બજારમાં કોઈ વસ્તુની નક્કી થઈ ગયેલી કિંમત 5000 રૂપિયા છે તો કોઈ તમારી પાસેથી 5010 રૂપિયા લેશે તો તમને એમ લાગશે કે તે મને છેતરી રહ્યો છે. અને કોઈ વસ્તુની કિંમત 20 રૂપિયા હોય અને કોઈ તમારી પાસેથી 22 રૂપિયા લે છે તો પણ તમને લાગે છે કે તે તમને છેતરી રહ્યો છે, તમે કેવી રીતે નક્કી કરી શકો કે વસ્તુની મૂળ કિંમત 5000 સાચી છે? કાલે ઉઠીને કોઈ તમને તે જ વસ્તુ 4500 માં આપશે તો તમને તે કિંમત સાચી લાગવા લાગશે અને 5000 કિંમત જુઠી લાગશે. વળી થોડા દિવસ પછી, કોઈ તે તમને 4200 મા આપશે તો તમને 4500 એ ખોટી કિંમત લાગશે. વળી થોડા દિવસ પછી કોઈ તમને તે જ વસ્તુ, તે જ ગુણવત્તા, તેટલા જ જથ્થામાં 3000 મા આપશે, તો વળી તમને આગળવાળા બધા જ, તમારી પાસેથી, ખૂબ સારો નફો કમાઈ તમને છેતરતા લાગશે. જે વસ્તુની કિંમત 20...
