Constructive work is a result of Destructive work!
We are all against destructive work and we favor the
constructive work, right? But in nature constructive and destructive both are
like 2 sides of coin, attached with each other. Each constructive work is done
on the base of destruction. It is how it is!
When you want to do any work, you have to spend the energy
first. You may get tired if you use your bodily energy. If you do the work by
machine, you have to feed it electricity or other source of energy like
petroleum. So first you use or destroy energy to make useful or constructive work.
When you carve an idol from a stone, you are actually
cutting the stone. That work is destructive one. But at the end, you have a
beautiful idol from it. Same way when you want iron, you have to dig the earth
to get iron ore. That iron ore is filtered in the factory and again there is
one more destructive process. But as a result, you get pure iron which you use
for various uses. And that work we consider as constructive one. When you
construct any house, first you need to dig the soil to make a foundation.
Whatever material you use to construct the house, wood, brick, cement, iron or
any other material, each one has passed the destructive process first. As for
example take the wood; from wherever you get the wood, it is cut and polished
to fit into your requirements. Primarily it is destructive.
If you want to make a garden of your desire, make look very
beautiful, you have to remove unwanted plants and grow only those plants, you
like the most. You grow only those plants which make your garden attractive. So
constructive is a result of destructive.
Humanity today has progressed a lot. And we want to make
roads, building, schools, hospitals, factories, airports and amusement parks
etc. We consider it progress. For this progress we made lots of destruction. We
cut down more than enough trees and still cutting. We polluted all rivers. We
polluted the air. We used most of the available resources. Question is how can
we have constructive work without destructive work? No, it is not possible.
Here it comes the idea of sustainable. Sustainable means use the things wisely
so it can be available in future too. That future can be considered endless
from human perspective. But it can’t avoid destructive process. We have to pass
the destructive process in any case. We just try to balance the things by less
use or wise use of natural resources or possible sustainable alternatives but
you can’t avoid destruction.
