Gift Economy!
The world is getting complex. It may seem advanced, but in reality it is creating unlimited problems in all directions that we are really helpless to find the right solutions for. We need a social reform that brings a new kind of system where we can easily get solutions for almost every kind of problem. After a long search through world history, I have found that the only option for us is Gift Economy. Gift Economy is gradually spreading through this world, so let's create it. Many people of this world are trying to make this new way of living possible in various ways, and they identify it as Moneyless World, Gift World, Gift Economy, Love Based Economy, Gift culture, Giftivism, Sharing World, Resource Based Economy, etc.
Consider a world where there is no money. You have free transportation, education, health, sports, food, and entertainment. Everything is cost-free. You go to the market and you can have anything you want; you get what you want but there is no price tag on anything. You identify your requirement and choose accordingly, or you ask the store keeper for what you need. No one owns that store but people by their own interest serve in it. The person who keeps the store is very happy to give you your desired stuff/service. Possibly there will be an expert or person with knowledge of a particular product who will give you information about it and help you to make choices considering your requirement. Here everything is mine and everything is yours. If I get something from a market or a store I use it and then, if I find myself no longer requiring that item I then give it back to society so that other people can use it.
When there is no money involvement, the things produced here are of the best possible quality. So you don’t need to stress about quality. You just get the very best of everything you require. We utilize natural resources according to society's needs; and we create the best quality products from those resources. What is produced is to be shared equally or according to individual need. We get the best houses to live in, the best cars to drive and all of the best services. Here there are no locks on any house doors, no walls, fences or gates as security purpose: this is a society of complete trust. The main goal is to create well being for all.
Our minds, our bodies, and our intellects are made for work. Therefore we can’t just stop working. The opposite of this is that we can’t allow ourselves to reach a point where we are overloaded by work. So certainly, we all need to work but at the same time we need to find a balance between work and rest. When we make this perfect balance for ourselves, it is guaranteed that we will get a maximum output from it when we do work.
It is a natural tendency to give what we have to our loved ones, and here the whole world is our own so we are always happy to give/share the results of this output with others. I give to someone and they give to someone else, and that person may give something else back to me. This forms a network of endless giving so that receiving becomes a natural part of the process. Here the one who gives to a person is giving to them with love and with pleasure. They are not simply working and giving for the welfare of the individual: they are also considering the well-being of our whole society. Here we build up relations of the heart.There is never any competition.
Here each person thinks, " What can we - especially I - do to make this world a better place to live in for all ? "
Here there is no value in any material item, but there is value in an individual’s requirement. Nothing is compared in terms of value other than requirement. For example, if a person is hungry, then to satisfy his hunger and make him happy is more valuable than any gold jewelry or expensive car.
Each person is made unique by the Universe, so each one has some unique skill in their particular choice of work. Therefore each person makes different items or provides different foods, services, etc, and then each person gives away what they produce. Each kind of work is done and each kind of output is shared so that whether we demand it or not we automatically get everything that we want or need. The result of this is that there is no need for anyone to snatch, steal or cheat. That is the beauty of this world.
Leaving a few special cases aside, each one of us has a passion to do something in our lives. When we have all the resources freely available to us, a person will try to make something from his passion to get the best out of it. Therefore we make everything to the best possible standard and we provide the very best service. Here we follow our ambitions in whatever direction we want to go because everything is available to us and everyone is there to support us in whatever we want to do.
When I easily get all my requirements fulfilled. Consider, then, that I find myself with a desire to grow fruit trees and vegetables. Since in this world I have access to all places, through my own desire I will choose to work on a farm. From that farm whatever fruit or vegetables are grown will be freely available to me and to others. Other people will also be working there, and by combining the work of all of us a huge output of fruits and vegetables will be obtained. We are all passionate about this work and want to give our best. Since here there is nothing to sell it is guaranteed that we are going to gift the produce we grow to people who require it in our society. We identify the requirement and set out a delivery system or arrange an outlet, or we simply give it to someone who needs it and asks us for it. All people will be served equally. With time I will grow in experience, and then if I can manage a big farm I will take responsibility through my willingness and with the cooperation and mutual understanding of others. It is like working from the position of General Manager in some manufacturing plant. I make major decisions for that farm based on my long experience. But certainly all of my decisions are discussed and cooperated with by all and for the common good of all. Then, if after sometime I decide that I want to do something else, we give this responsibility to another person who is experienced and capable of managing the farm.
Here we own or occupy houses and small areas of land or any other such assets by free will and for the length of time that we wish to use it and/or wish to and can manage it. I am the owner without any real ownership or legal documentation. Here everything is for everybody. Every workspace we share with each other with an understanding of skills, purpose, time and convenience. Everything is done because everyone wants to do it.
When nothing is sold it is most possible that people will accumulate very little as a private thing. Think how, when you go to a sports complex, and whatever sports you want to play there you get the required tools for it. You want to travel to some destination and there is a car, bus and train according to destination run on sharing basis just like in today’s world but only one thing is different, and that is that you don’t need to pay so you just sit in a proper vehicle according to your destination and route of that vehicle and after a while you find you have reached where you want to go. If you have an emergency, special vehicle like car will run just for you just like it is your car. You go to another city and you get your accommodation there. You can live with anybody whom you are comfortable or in a rooms like the ones that we have in the hotels of this monetary world. You take care, manage things and cooperate where you stay. You go to a restaurant and you get food. You want to take photos and you get a camera. Once you have clicked your photos, you store them in your storage device or laptop and then return that camera to the place from where you got it. After all, if you get everything that you need so freely, why would you want to accumulate things in the house? You try to own what you like to and you try to use shared things from those which are more comfortable to use shared. Say 90% things will be shared. It will not only reduce wastage but also it will reduce the total quantity of manufactured products. That is a further saving of natural resources, time, human effort and energy. That also leads to more freedom.
We live in a world of love! Everyone here is bonded in love. We give emotional support and love to one another as one huge family. We all can ask each other for help at any time, whether it is for material things, for jobs needed doing, or for emotional support. We are all there for each other. We create perfect well being for all in every possible way here in the now. Everyone mutually respects each other in this world, and we leave our doors open to each other.
If a child starts walking away from his house he can go anywhere and his mother will never feel worried, since she knows that each person feels that "this kid is mine". Everyone the child goes to will give him anything that he needs, whether it is a meal, clothing, a bed for the night, or company, and that child is perfectly safe to go anywhere and to enjoy himself fully. That child is part of this big family. Every woman treats him as if he were her own child. This is a simple world where there is total freedom and tranquility - a world of love, sharing and a solid sense of community.
If someone needs a house to be built of his own style the whole neighbourhood and possibly even other experts who live far away will come and help to build it simply for the pleasure of doing so. Everyone is happy sharing their individual effort and skills. Each person is good at something and they use their talents to the fullest to build a house for someone who needs it. When the house has been built everyone shares food together and enjoys the evening feeling content and proud of the job that has been done. We all live as a family full of love and trust.
If one person needs to get his car fixed, a related expert person will do that job happily. If I have a car but I want a different type of car I simply give mine to someone else and get a new one for myself. Alternatively, I can give it back to the car manufacturer. The car manufacturer takes real care of the kind of cars people require, and that care can be very useful to those people wanting a new car. Even restaurants work that way: they are managed by those who are fond of cooking and serving food to people. They get the restaurant building, the kind of facilities that will be inside of it, all the raw material, all the vegetables and other ingredients that will be prepared, etc. They use their interest in food preparation, and that interest becomes useful to all those who love to eat a variety of foods or have no time to cook for themselves.
Here we have no work-related stress. We do the kind of work that make us feel good and is suited to our individual nature. We get love and support every way, we get everything free; we live in harmony; we get more free time for ourselves. Working for the wellbeing of all means that we do not pollute the earth; we keep our houses, streets, towns and cities clean. That way everybody benefits from a clean atmosphere. We use all the proper options of electricity generation according to available resources. In our society we also give plenty of attention to our health. We eat only the freshest organic food of the best quality; we balance natural activity with rest; we use natural health remedies so that any kind of illness will have almost no chance to set in. Because of this, everybody here enjoys optimum health and vitality. This is the healthiest society in every way.
In Gift Economy, religion is not concentrated on in any way, and no one is pressured to follow a faith. If people wish to follow one then that is their own personal choice and they will be able to do so, provided they do not try to influence others. If someone wants to construct a place of worship, then that is their own choice and in that case the community will help in every way with the building of it.
There will always be natural situations like shortage of rain water, poor crop growth etc, but if we all support each other we will get through those times far more easily. People from other regions all over the world can help people whose geographical area is experiencing some kind of natural problem. And the best thing is that gift society has no boundaries. Therefore people can easily migrate to a better place. We can go anywhere in this world, we can live where we like and everything will be arranged for us by the cooperation of other people.
Here there is no need for any type of police, but some people by their own good will may take responsibility to maintain the base idea of Gift Economy, and through that the well-being of our society will be maintained. So, if any bad condition of relations does occur, then these people can try to smooth things out and so create a perfect life for all of us. It is love based world having no boarders and no enemy to fight with, therefore no army, but instead a whole world as one huge family.
